Natura Campus Award for Innovation in Animal-Free Methods
natura-marca_versao_preferencial-CMYK

Description
Natura has been a pioneer in the development of alternative methods for the safety and efficacy assessment of cosmetic ingredients and products. On this journey, in addition to the master's and doctoral-level scientists dedicated to developing new methodologies at our Innovation Center, we have cultivated fruitful partnerships with national and international research centers, institutes, and universities to advance alternative methodologies for both Natura and Brazil.
In celebration of our 19-year commitment to not testing on animals and the 7th anniversary of our Cruelty-Free International certification, we are honored to present a scientific award at WC13. This award recognizes the innovative potential of research conducted in Brazil focused on the development of new animal-free methods.

The Award
A fully sponsored trip (airfare and accommodation) to the Natura Innovation Center in Cajamar, São Paulo, Brazil, scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. This award will be granted to the main author of the awarded work or a designated representative. In addition to a tour of the facilities, the winner will have the unique opportunity to meet Natura's technical team dedicated to alternative methods. The visit will include a dedicated session for the winner to present and discuss their awarded research, as well as to explore potential future research collaborations.
Eligibility & Selection Criteria

To be considered, submitted abstracts must be from researchers in Brazil and meet at least one of the following selection criteria:

  • Innovation in New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), such as in vitro or in silico models, for human or environmental safety assessment.
  • Development of novel biological models for efficacy and/or safety evaluation.
  • Demonstrated potential for application in the assessment of natural ingredients.

Application Process
No formal application is required. All scientific works (both oral and poster presentations) presented by researchers from Brazil at WC13 will be automatically considered for the award. The Natura Judging Committee will actively attend the sessions and evaluate all eligible presentations directly during the congress. The winner(s) will be selected based on the scientific merit and alignment with the eligibility criteria listed above.

Please note: Separately from the award, if you have a potential proposal for a partnership with Natura, we invite you to submit it through our official program at: www.naturacampus.com.br. This is entirely optional and will not influence the award selection process.
