Established in 1993, ARDF promotes alternatives to the use of animals in biomedical research, testing and education. The foundation has awarded over $4.5M through its Annual Open Research Grant program. It also sponsors scientific meetings and presents the Cave Award for outstanding achievements in advancing alternative methods. ARDF’s special program, the Alternatives in Research Challenge, focuses science funding exclusively in the area of alternative methods for biomedical research.

Advancing the welfare of animals in more than 50 countries, Humane World for Animals works around the globe to promote the human-animal bond and confront cruelty to animals in all of its forms. We advocate for system-wide and long-term impact, working strategically to end the cruelest practices toward animals.
